Our first wedding of the 2016 season saw us travelling up from Devon to Somerset for the wedding of Sarah and Dom. Sarah is in the Royal Navy’s nursing service and Dom is a carpenter by trade. The happy couple were friends for many years before they became romantically involved, having first met in 2004. They love to travel and are very fit and active, regularly taking part in charity runs as well as kayaking and other challenging activities.
On a day rich with a blend of simple tradition and fun, modern twists, Dom and Sarah were married at the church of St Mary’s in Stoke Sub Hamdon, the same local church that Sarah’s parents and maternal grandparents were married in. Less conventionally, Sarah wore a pair of awesome blue Converse as her ‘something blue’!
It was a real pleasure to spend such a lovely, sunny spring day with Sarah, Dom and all their family and friends! These two are probably one of the nicest and friendliest couples we’ve met and their day was filled with positivity and warmth. We wish them all the happiness in the world in the years to come. Here are just a few of our favourite images from their special day.
